Addressing Environmental Violations Through CESNA-LB Project

In an effort to conserve environmentally sensitive areas, TERRE Liban was able, with the help of environmental activists, the local community, and the Lebanese authorities, to successfully halt violations taking place in several important ESAs in Lebanon.

This was accomplished by demonstrating evidence of infractions, legal justifications, and environmental impacts. It outlined the significance of each region and how these violations are impacting the ecosystems and the wellbeing of the community.

With the help of the local community and environmental activists, we were able to record multiple violations and put a stop to them at the appropriate time.

To this day, effective interventions have been reported in all of:

Afqa junipers area

Al Tassa Spring

Baabda Forest

Chabrouh Buffer Zone

Faraya Bark Spring

Jeita Spring

Nahr El Joz

Wadi jamajem

Hardine forests

Ehmej forests
